Creative. Romantic. Individualist.
Or as I like to call you, the special snowflakes.
4's see all that is beautiful in the world. They are idealists. They are empathetic. They're comfortable with all the emotions. They do emotions. Actually, they pretty much ARE emotions.
So what shows up for 4's in the pandemic?
Irrationality
Manipulation
Victim Mentality
Rebel
Enneagram 4's often feel like because they're so special and unique that the rules don't apply. Their "I'm different" nature and worry that there is something inherently missing in them leads them to adopt a "Victim State" where they try to maintain relationships by being manipulative. They can also lean into addiction as a coping mechanism.
So what to do?
3 Tips to Thrive as an Enneagram 4
For 4's to come back to health they need a few things
Solitude. This is more than just journaling and meditation, this is about becoming your own friend.
Look for beauty in the ordinary. Find things to be grateful for and that are going well in your day-to-day.
Talk to someone. Whether it's a therapist or a coach, find someone who you can work through your feelings with. Your tribe is important, but if you're headed into victim space, they may not be equipped to help you shift back out.
What do you think, do you have a 4 in your life, or are you one? Does this sound just so familiar?
